Old card

hello to anyone who is still following me, not got much to show because I have been off this week with the kids so we have had lots of days out. This is a card I made a while ago using a gorjuss girl stamp. I have made the flowers and the borders are cut from a Martha Stewart punch.

I now must go sorry it is short and sweet but I have to go to work and earn some pennies to keep the kids in clothes and me in craft stuff lol.

So pleased, I came second

Quite a few weeks ago I was walking round a car boot sale and saw a old wreath shaped wooden ring with two ducks on it and the words home sweet home on it and thought I can alter that and decorate it, the man wanted 50p so I bought it much to my kids amusement. Well this is what I came up with and I sent pictures to Magnolia for the family gathering competition and heard no more. Well I got the new magnolia magazine yesterday and I let out a scream because I got second place, it is only a small picture but I am there in second place.

I tried to pick a character to suit each of us and picked the larger Tilda to be me because I am bigger because I love food and need to lose weight lol. The chef is hubby because he loves to cook. My daughter is up top and the boys to the left, now I do not live in a house like this but I do love my home because it is full of the people I love.
The sign is the Tim Holtz hanging sign die and I have used a sizzix die and a paperartsy die for the leaves.
The snail , mushrooms and ladybird are shrunk because I only had the larger ones and I have added quite a few punched flowers. All the colouring is done with copics.
I hope I have not bored you too much but I am still so chuffed I got in the magazine.

Peg and Ribbon

I have been a bad blogger the last few weeks but to be honest not had much time to craft. The kids are off school and when I have my days off work they want to do something so me time is very thin on the ground at the moment. I do love having them at home and the pace of life seems to slow down a bit but I do miss my Wednesday craft day.
With hubby on nights and having been out Saturday I was determined to have Sunday morning for me and do a bit of crafting. I am not too sure where I was going with this card and it all started because I fell in love with the ribbon and peg, so had to make a card around these lol.
The hanglar stamp is coloured with copics and I have used my nesties and a word stamp by creative impressions for the background and for a change used kraft card for my base.
Thanks for looking Louise xx
