Molly Blooms

A short post because with the kids being off school there is not much time for craft. These are two cards I did a while back with the lovely Molly Bloom stamps that are available from Sir Stampalot and coloured them with copics.
Must go now because my dog is sitting whimpering at the side of me and he is not happy, he had a little op yesterday to remove what is precious to most males and keeps looking at me with big sad eyes and making me feel very guilty.

Baby card

Now I do not normally do baby cards because I have had no one to do them for but my friend is now pregnant and due in September. I have decided to make two cards, one for a boy and one for a girl and will be ready for the occasion. I do make a lot of cards but never seem to not have a card ready when I need one so my goal this year is to make them earlier rather than the day before, so here is my boy card.
I have used a very cute Hanglar stamp for my card, I fell in love with this set when I first saw it and was lucky and managed to get one on ebay before they all went, you have to be very quick because they do not put many up. I have coloured with copics and gone a bit bad with my cuttlebug and heart shape nesties, which is very surprising really because I have been getting ready for some classes I am teaching and have had to cut and emboss loads of shapes and punch out what seems like a million flowers this week. I even roped in my daughter at one point to punch out 64 small flowers and the next day she was complaining her thumb hurt but I did get her a packet of sweets and then she was happy.

What my Daughter made for her teacher

Just thought I would show you the card and note book my 9 year old Daughter made for her teacher. I did do the cutting out for her so that it was straight but she did all the rest herself and her teacher loved it. Tianna loves to get hold of my Atg tape gun so plenty of tape was used. I even let her use my copics but closely supervised lol.

Just Magnolia but no Tilda

Hi Just a quick post today because I have lots to do, we had a big clear out yesterday and I have a huge pile of stuff to sort through in my room for doing a boot sale and a skip run. I cannot believe the mountain sitting in my room and just wondering if it will all go in the car.

I have made this card for my Dads birthday that is coming up soon, he loves gardening and flowers, you should see his garden it is beautiful. Mind you other people must thing so to because last week someone came and stole plants out of his garden and they seemed to know which ones they wanted so it was not kids messing about and two neighbours had plants and tubs go too.

I am entering this in for the Just Magnolia challenge which is a sketch because it is is a magnolia stamp that I have coloured with copics, I have also used my Tim Holtz die too which I love and Su punch for border.

Got to go now and wake up the kids for school roll on Wednesday when they break up and no packups and early morning rushes to contend with.

Magnolia challenge recipe

This week on Just magnolia challenge blog you have to use a recipe, 3 flowers, 2 papers and 1 ribbon. I have dug out some old papers that I have had for a few years but have used a lot and still love them, and used Tilda holding roses and coloured with copics. Now I know that you do not see many blue roses but it is my favourite colour and they match the papers well that's my reasoning anyway.
Thanks for visiting

Cat in bra

It is the first challenge over on the Penny black at Allsorts challenge blog and so I have got out my fav Penny Black stamp that always makes me smile and because the theme is a burst of colour and what summer means to you I thought this would fit because summer is the only time I can put my washing on the line lol. I have coloured with copics but not blended much to try and keep a water colour effect and decoupaged a few bits up including bra for a bit of lift. The papers are nitwit papers and are more like card. The flowers are made from punches and I have wet them and screwed them up. Sorry about the poor photos but do find easel cards hard to take a photo of.
Thankyou for looking

A little note

Fancied making something different for a change so made a little note book and this morning I ran out in the garden in my nightie to take a photo and what I did not bank on was my neighbour being up early, very embarrassing lol.
For my book I have used distress inks to colour although not much to colour in, October Afternoon papers which I am loving at the moment. The stamp set is a Stampin up set called bloomin with beauty and another Stampin up set which is called garden silhouettes was used for the stamping on the bottom of the book. The ribbon is from my huge stash, did I ever say I had a bit of a ribbon problem.
