Alter it

This week on the Cupcake Craft Challenge the theme is 'Alter it' and I have altered some beer mats to make a hanging decoration. I have had a bit of a hard time taking photos for this project but here are some.

I have covered the beer mats with paper and stuck them to together and put ribbon through the middle to secure them. I have done this project for one of the classes I teach at Sir stampalot and we made a box to put the finished project in.

I got the beer mats from car boot sale so no I did not go round pubs pinching beer mats lol.

Spots and Dots

This week on Polka doodles we would like to see Spots and Dots on your project

so I have chose some papers from the 'All around and everywhere cd'.

 One of the papers has a cute banner on so I have used some of that for a strip along the bottom but also cut some of the flags out and made a banner for the top of my card.

 I have used glossy accents on the flags and a bit of cotton to make the top banner.

I have used a old Tilda but still much loved for my main image and coloured with copics.

Text Me

I have been asked to be guest design team member on Creative Inspirations challenge blog and the theme is 'Text Me' you have to use Text it can be on the paper or ribbon for example but they want to see text.

I have used paper that I found in my stash that had lots of text on and a wee bit of ribbon also.

A card and gift in one

On Cupcake Craft challenge this week we want to see your cards that are a gift also. I have made this card for my son who's birthday it is soon and inside I have made a pocket and put cinema tickets for a film I know he wants to see.

Just sitting here

Good morning the sun is shinning here and I have been colouring this cute girl from Wee Stamps she is a digi design so I printed her out on smooth card and left it to dry fully for a day.

Single Layer

Hello I am here today for my first card as part of the Polka Doodles team and the challenge is set by Ruth. The challenge this week is 'Single layer card' so you need to print or stamp your image directly onto your cardstock and use minimal embellishments bit of a toughy to start with for me  because you know how much I like to put on my cards lol.

I have used this fab stamp called Meeshelle and stamped directly onto the base card and coloured with copics in these colours

E000,E00,E11,R20Bv29,bv25,bv23,bv20

Yr23,Yr21,Yr31Bv04,Bv02,Bv000

I used a Martha Stewart punch along the bottom and just added a few pearls on the flowers.

The sentiment is from the stamp set Meeshelle and you also get a flower and a cute butterfly on this set too.

Luka

Thought I would pop this Christmas card on that I have made using Caroling Luka by La la land Crafts

he is such a sweet character.

I have used a Magnolia stamp for the background called Silent night and then coloured Luka with copics.

I have kept the design simple and finished with a bow.

I have popped this into the Gallery over on the La La Land Crafts blog.

Elegant Lady

I am back today with a card I just made because I wanted to have some Birthday cards ready, my friend and Stepsister Tina kindly let me stamp this image out ( I think it is kanban but not sure) of this elegant lady which is not my normal kind of stamp but I love it and was pleased with how it turned out.

I have coloured with copics and gone wild with the flowers the base of the card is 8x8 so it is a big card and will need a box to go in.

I would like to enter this card into 'A spoon full of sugar'

Stitching Faux or real

On Cupcake this week we would like to see stitching be it real or faux the choice is yours I have gone for real because I love sewing on card.

BasicGrey Sizzling Summer

The Challenge on BasicGrey this fortnight is 'Sizzling Summer' so I have gone for Tilda on a swing, I so loved my swing when I was little and in the summer would spend ages on it singing away to myself. Now I cannot sing for toffee my kids are always telling me to shut up lol but back then I did not care.

The Basicgrey item I have used is the paper and it is from a pad called Wisteria.

I have coloured with copics and I have used a lot of Doohickey die cutting shapes.

My copic colours are E000,E00,E02,E11,R20,C1,C3.C5,E40,E42.E44,G21.G24,G28,

Gorjuss Girl

Good morning I am back with a card that I made for Creative cardmaking but they chose the other two I made to put in the magazine so I can use this one on here.I had to make cards using the Gorjuss girl stamps and the hard part was deciding which ones to use lol. I love all the gorjuss girl stamps they are so lovely to colour in and this was a simple card to make.

I also had some fab news this week Nikky from Polka Doodles asked me to join her design team and I am so looking forward to joining the team and getting to work with such gorgeous designs.

I have decided to go all brown and was quite pleased with how this turned out because I love colour and do not normally do much neutral.
