Sketch saturday 75

Its time for the Sketch Saturday challenge again and along with the sketch is a Halloween theme, so out with Tilda again, I have never made this many Halloween cards before lol. I have used a lot of stamps on this card and magnolia papers.

I have also made a envelope for the card using my scorepal and made it look a bit distressed and put a skull on it. I did a eyeball first but it looked a bit to much with a cute Tilda stamp.
I will be able to post a few more cards soon, I
have been busy making cards for my demo at Sir stampalot this Saturday and will be able to post them on my blog next week.

Sketch Saturday 74

This is my card for Sketch Saturday this week and it is a lovely sketch to use. I have coloured my image with my copics but got my distress inks out for a bit of inking, boy was my hands in a mess I don't seem to be able to ink without getting it all over my hands lol. I have got to say this card nearly went in the bin because I kept messing it up, at one point my sewing machine put a big hole in it that is why there is a strip of braid on bottom. I really was having a bad card day lol.

Recipe for card:
Basic grey papers from Indian summer pad
Stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie
Martha Stewart punch
copics to colour
distress inks and I was distressed too

Here is my card for the Sketch Saturday challenge and I have used two magnolia stamps for my card. I keep seeing wonderful Christmas cards but I have gone and chose two summery stamps,I just can not seem to get my head around Christmas yet. I really do need to start because people expect handmade cards when they know you do them lol.

Cupcake and Magnolia challenge

I have combined two challenge together for this one, the sketch is from Just magnolia and on the cupcake craft challenge you have to have stitching and buttons. My stamp is the colibri bird stamp from magnolia range and I have coloured with copics. The background was done with inks and a leave stamp and the flowers are made from a Martha Stewart punch. Not too sure I like this one because I have not used any patterned paper which is unusual for me.

Halloween

Well here it is one of the cards I made for Halloween and it was made in the early hours of the morning due to me feeling poorly and coughing like a mad woman every time I laid down. The theme on a spoonful of sugar is Halloween so I am entering this one in to the challenge. The stamps I have used are all from the magnolia Halloween range and were sent to me from Janice at Sir Stampalot to make a few samples. This is the first time I have ever made Halloween cards and I am loving the purple and orange combo that seems to be popular this year and works so well for Halloween. The papers too are magnolia and I am really enjoying using the papers they seem to have a different feel to them.

This is the other card I made and I also made a little sweet bag for handing out on Halloween. The only thing is we never get any trick or treaters round to our house,we are just a little too far out of town. I do always get a few sweets in just in case and it is always a good excuse to eat some sweets lol.

This is the little sweet bag and very easy to make apart from the kids trying to eat the sweets and the dogs begging for them too.

Sketch Saturday

Hi and I am so pleased you cannot see me I am feeling full of cold and feel a bit like Rudolph and I am sooo fed up with coughing. With feeling poorly this week I have not crafted much but got this card done and 2 Halloween cards(will show them another day). This is my first card has part of the design team and it was a lovely sketch to use, so why not have a go, and take a look over on Sketch Saturday the other ladies have done some fabulous examples.

For my card I have used:-
Magnolia papers
Whiff of Joy stamp
Su sentiment
Martha Stewart punch
Ek success flower punch
copics to colour image

Emma a friend shared the tip with me for punching a strip out with Martha Stewart doily punch and then putting through a ribbler and I think it looks a bit like lace. Just remember it shrinks when ribbled so don't cut to size like I did lol.

Crafty Calendar Challenge

Today is the start of the Crafty Calendar Challenge blog with a new challenge every month, so plenty of time to enter. The theme this month is Autumn and with it all the gorgeous colours it brings, a added extra is to include plants or vegetation in your design.
I was having a play with my Martha stewart punch on this card and punched down the side of my card, it is hard to photography but there is a chunk out of the side of my card lol.
What I have used-
Tilda with bird coloured with copics
Martha stewart punch
Su flower punch and tag punches
Su sentiment stamp
Lace and pearls from craft box or should say boxes and boxes

Now I just wanted to show you my little terror, he is always going near my craft desk infact both of our dogs love to be near/under or on my desk. I think I need to do some hoovering because he came out from under my chair like this with a sticky pad on his nose end.

I would also like to say thankyou for all your lovely comments on my cards and my getting through to sketch Saturday design team. I am so looking forward to working with a lovely bunch of ladies and feel very honoured to have been chosen.
