My Card

It is a beautiful sunny day here, not sure how long it will last after the cold day we had yesterday, even hubby was cold and put the heating back on.
Now you may think my title to this post is odd but last week I had someone who I will not name take a photo of my card and use it on her blog, Brenda has the full story here on her blog if you want to read it. I never mind anyone copying my cards or taking ideas from them, I would not have a blog or put my cards in the shop if I minded but to take a photo and use the card I made is not fair, that is my work. I take a lot of time over my cards, I craft because I love to do it , my cards are by no means spot on but they are my cards.
I made this card the other day and when this stamp first came into the shop I was not too sure about it and even said to Nick that I did not like that one but here it is and I do like it now Nick lol. I have used my copics to colour with and the small flower is one of the new magnolia flowers. The card is blinged up but that is not easy to photograph, I do find the photo bit hard I have been running all over the house and garden to find best spot my family thing I am mad and even the dogs give me odd looks.
Well bye for now and I am hoping to get time to play today and maybe a little tomorrow (it is my birthday tomorrow so a girls got to give the housework and boring stuff a miss on her birthday)

Hi Louise, love the card another stunner as always. Sorry about all your recent agro, it just goes to show that not all crafters are nice people after all which is such a shame. Still keep your chin up and keep up the beautiful work. All my love and hugs Kimx

Hi Louise, you need to put a watermark on your photos, and if youve got a graphics program its not hard to do, it would be worth going and having a look at it. Good luck with love and hugs Shirleyxxxx

Well said Louise, we are all with you 100%.

And this one had the Louise hallmark all over it as does all your lovely work, hence the plagiarism was easy to recognise. Stupid woman even thinking she would get away with it.

Now you kept tomorrow all very quiet didn't you, too late for a card in the post, so here's my Happy Birthday and hope you have a great day.

Hi Louise! First I wanted to say how much you are missed over at SS!! And 2ndly, what a fab card! That paper couldn't be more perfect, and your colouring is just beautiful.

I'm really sorry and also disgusted to read the full story on Brenda's blog. I agree with some of the commenters over there that this person should be named and shamed. It is plain wrong to do what he/she has done, and they should be made to apologise to you. Also, goodness only knows who else they've plagerised in the past!

If you want me to make you a simple copyright overlay that you can apply to your piccies, just let me know!

Hugs, Sem x

Such a beautiful card. Sometimes it tatkes a while for an image to sing to us, but when it does, it's definitely worth it, as you've proved here.
Definitely worth putting a water mark on your work though - & a sticker on the front of the cellophane to stop the dishonest few taking the credit for your hard work. xx

Louise, I have come across your gorgeous work courtesy of following Brenda's blog. I would like to say that I wouldn't have been too sure on this image but you have made the card perfect and Tilda looks at home there. As for the saga of this week, I have come across some not-so-nice people in the blogging world (as on two occasions I was getting accused of being dishonest and linking to other people's work - after much searching by a friend it turns out that it was the settings on those two blogs that allowed links and it was just by chance I was one to go and visit their blogs) who just posted nasty things about me and it really upset me. I can imagine how you felt about your card being said as someone elses and I just hope that this person has read things and feels as small as pea for what they have done. Maybe watermarking would be an idea so it can't happen in the future. It's sad you have to do something like this. Best wishes, Kym xxx

Hi Louise, a lovely card. I agree with your comments about taking time to get a card just right so that you're happy with it - I think we all do the same. Hopefully this person will read all the comments made on this and Brenda's blog and think twice before claiming work she has not done as her own in future. Anyway I hope you have a lovely Birthday tomorrow! Linda x

Hi Louise

Firstly, I would like to say that the card you are posting here today is fantastic .. .. as are all the projects you show.

This person who has been passing your work of as their own is quite clearly "in awe" of you and your fantastic talent.

I thought blogland was supposed to be a nice, friendly place but clearly it isn't. How dare someone steal your hard work and try to pass it off as theirs.

I agree with what others have written and feel this person should be named and shamed in the hope of there being an ounce of decency in them which would compel them to apologise to you. I wonder how many other people's work have been stolen and used in this way.

Anyway, you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow - I hope it is special.

Love Jules xx

I love this card especially with the bubble background paper mirroring the image!! Gorgeous colouring too!! Can't believe the story of someone passing off one of your cards as their own!! Unbelievable and it seems so out of character for most of the crafters I've come into contact with!! We all pinch ideas and tips from other people but this is downright horrible for you!! Glad that you've highlighted it for us all to be aware of!! I suppose there is some small comfort in knowing that they thought one of your cards was worth stealing!! Juliexx
