Circle Christmas cards

A quick post today to show you two quick cards I have made with Molly bloom stamps and using the lacy circle spellbinder dies.

It is my last day at work today and then I have some time off with my family I still have a few jobs to do like having a quick tidy round before family arrives and mince pies to make with my daughter.

We have to make quite a few because hubby wants to take some to the station and I have a special request from his work colleague that he is working with this Christmas for marshmallow cheesecake so need to make that also.

My husband is on duty all over Christmas and works 12 hour shifts so we will miss him not being here but the kids are older now so it is a little easier for them to understand.

Inspiration Monday- Marci with rose

A sketch

On Cupcake craft this week we have a fab sketch from Faye to use and we also have three sponsors because we have no challenges for two weeks because of Christmas.

Winter scene

Hello I am back today with another card I had published in Creative stamping and was made using Molly Blooms stamps that are available here at Sir Stampalot.

I have gone for non traditional colours and made the base card using my Grand spellbinder dies.

There is a lot of glitter on this card but it doesn't photo well when I am behind the lense lol.

Shepherd George

Just popping on to show you this card I had published in the first issue of Creative stamping and was made using a Molly blooms stamp called Shepherd george 

I had to use shrink plastic so I used a sizzix die for the stars and shrank these to make little star buttons.

I do not use a lot of shrink plastic but my lovely friend Lou uses shrink plastic a lot and makes great little embelishments for her amazing cards,you can see her blog here.

Quick Christmas cards

This week on Polka doodles we want to see quick Christmas cards, I have used this Christmas tree which is on the Magical Winter (part 2) Cd. All I did was print out the image and glitter it a bit and put on a shaped card with a sentiment.

There is lots of lovely images on the Magical winter Cds to use for quick cards but also lots if you have more time and want to colour images in.

Marci with guitar, new release

Make your own backing papers

This week at Cupcake craft we had to make our own backing paper and I was a bit unsure what to do for this challenge, but the lovely Kim Reygate came to my aid and showed me a great way of completely changing a piece of white card.

I have used acrylic paint dabber in pearl which is put on using cling film and then using the new Tim Holtz inkpads (winter collection) I have used a blending tool to add the colour. I have then stamped over with a large stampin up stamp that I have had for a long while.The card is very different for me but was fun to do so thanks Kim for showing me.

The sponsor this week is Simon says stamp and is a $20 gift voucher and we have our monthly sponsor which is Polka Doodles and two winners will receive Pretty sweet Cds.

On Penny Black and more this week the theme is Birthdays so I have used this stamp I bought a while ago but love colouring called yummy Mimi. I have also used a magnolia stamp for the label at the side.

Secret Element

On Polka Doodles this week we had to make a card with a secret element for a child, so I have made this pocket card with a rocket bookmark inside.
